Photos and Videos from Michigan Upper Peninsula Trip, and Other Miscellaneous Photos (August 28, 2016)
(Click on any of the thumbnails below to view the full-sized photo.)
On approximately August 25-28, 2016, several of us (Janet, Dave, Trista, Bubby, Kiersten, Nevaeh, and Treyton) went on a trip to Michigan's upper peninsula.
The photos below were arranged on a web page about four months after the trip, so I may have gotten some of the timeline wrong or misidentified photos.
Before the trip, I purchased a spare wheel and tire so that Mary's van would have a full-sized spare. This is Alice, in the improvised cat jail. (Note to Alice: the cat jail is in Homer now and you will never see it again.)

And now the miscellaneous pictures ...
I do play online video games from time to time, and there are some novel names that the adolescents think are clever. BiggasDikus is pretty humorous—it is good training for online dating sites.
Phoebe and Tiger playing.

My Roomba 650, which collects a lot of dirt.
Alice seemed restless one day, so I took her for a coffee and then to the car wash. Perhaps surprisingly, I think she liked it. I believe she finds the apartment boring.
Watching Battlestar Galactica on a tablet while doing other work on the computer. The streaming video services are great—you can find those old obscure TV shows.

A Lenovo 11e, which I use as a server. The machine consumes about 6 watts of power as measured at the AC plug (<$10/year in power). For a low-utilization server, it works out very well.
An Amazon Dash Button for condoms. Once I saw that Amazon offered that, I could not resist buying one. I have not pressed it, even once.
Alice, Tiger, and Phoebe (from left to right) waiting for me to open a can of food. They know that whenever I get home from work, that is what happens.
Another "prisoner" in our apartment complex.
My evening computing configuration. Alice usually wants to be near whatever I'm doing.
A note left by a disgruntled resident when I accidentally parked in his spot. (The scale is misleading because my feet are further away. The paper is standard 8.5 by 11.)
