These are photos of Dad's bookshelves. I helped Pat pack up the books and bookshelves and donate them to charity.
These are pictures of Janet's grandkids. After I returned from Florida around December 22, 2011, I only got to spend a few days there before Pat fell and fractured her hip, necessitating a second visit.
Pat's main breaker panel had developed some pitting where the breakers make contact with the bus bars. The breakers affected were the high-current breakers for the stove and hot water heater. I had an electrician come to make repairs.
Pat and Speedy, while Pat was home in between the hospital and the skilled care facility.
Photos of Speedy in his pyramid cat shelter. I purchased this for Speedy (along with a heating pad underneath) to keep him warm.
Janet and I went to Gatorland. Some of the photos are fairly amazing—alligators and crocodiles are a bit older on the earth than man is, and they look the part.
We also made this video of the alligator show from Gatorland (1.1GB). The show didn't go so well, probably because of the cooler temperature. The gators just weren't into it.
Janet and I went on a sightseeing flight around the Orlando parks. The flight instructor (Andy) was pretty amazing—in addition to nerves of steel (to put up with my approach and landing techniques), he was excellent as a flight instructor and excellent as a tourguide. At one point, he was able to help us see an orca from the air—it is clear that he's flown over the Orlando-area parks before.
While in Orlando, I rented a Harley-Davidson Electra-Glide from Eagle Rider. At home in Michigan, I have a 2006 Honda Shadow that was worth at best $5,500 new. I always wondered what the difference between a $5,000 motorcycle and a $20,000 motorcycle was, and I found out. The Harley was quite a nice and comfortable motorcycle.
While in Orlando, Janet was able to visit some relatives in Tavares. I loaned her my camera.
Janet and I visited Disneyworld.
We did purchase one photo from Disneyworld.
We also made three videos in Disneyworld (#1, 20MB; #2, 54MB; #3, 47MB).
Janet and I also visited The Epcot Center. The photos below are from the monorail ride over and from the center itself.
Photos from Pat's home in Orlando.
Tiger making use of what she believes must be cat furniture.
The grandkids being grandkids ...
This is an undated photo (probably from a cellphone). This is Janet and the grandkids.
